2024 Chevy Silverado EV Specs

The 2024 EV Silverado will debut sometime in the spring of 2023, and the first model to be released will be designed primarily for use by fleets. This means it will not contain all of the bells and whistles that will come standard on the model aimed at the general public. Some of the most notable specifications are:

• Four-wheel steering – Offers better overall stability and reduces the vehicle’s turn radius for exceptional maneuverability.
• Coil-spring rear suspension – Provides a more comfortable ride for passengers and more overall flexibility.
• Front trunk – Referred to by enthusiasts as a “frunk,” this fun feature adds additional storage space that is protected from the elements.
• 8000 pounds of towing – This is one of the few EVs with such a heavy towing capacity, and Chevrolet has said it intends to introduce a Silverado EV with up to 20,000 pounds of towing capacity in the future.
• Power sharing – If you come across a dead EV during your travels, your new Silverado will be able to charge it. Even better, if there’s a blackout at home, you can use your Silverado as a generator!
• Surprising torque – Chevrolet has said that the Silverado will deliver as much as 510 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque, but it isn’t clear if this will be the case for the base model or for an optional package.

2024 Chevy Silverado EV Range, Battery, and Price

The team at Chevrolet has announced that the debut of the Silverado will be an RST First Edition model with a sticker price of $105,000 around Fort Dodge. The vehicle is said to have a range of 400 miles, which is by far the longest-range battery offered by Chevrolet. Despite the high price tag, pre-orders closed in a mere 12 minutes and it is no longer available to reserve. You can, however, reserve other versions of the 2024 Silverado EV at prices ranging from $39,900 to more than $80,000.

The RST First Edition boasts a 24-module Ultium battery, but as of the time of writing, the size of the battery for other models has not yet been revealed. The first models will feature DC fast charging capabilities, and Chevy has said that a mere 10 minutes of charging will provide a range of up to 100 miles. The truck features a whopping 10 outlets for powering other devices and boasts a total power output of 10.2kW.
